A. General Site Policy

The New York State Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA) maintains its Web site under the organization domain of www.nyssa-pga.org. Requests for site links shall be submitted in writing to the NYSSA. All content already published by NYSSA for another purpose will be accepted. Other content will be submitted to the NYSSA Executive Director for approval before inclusion on the NYSSA site. Web site design and maintenance for the NYSSA Web site and all links will remain with the NYSSA.

B. External Linking

NYSSA reserves the right to reject any request for an external link from its Web site. In general, NYSSA does not accept links to external sites other than NYSSA committees, other PGA and NYSSA-related organizations and foundations, and other state component societies. NYSSA may consider special link requests from:

1. Academic institutions with accredited anesthesiology residencies and/or established research programs.
2. Reference or medical database Web sites.
3. Anesthesia-related organizations and nonprofit foundations.
4. Other medical organizations and specialty societies.
5. Indexed, peer-reviewed medical publications.
6. Membership benefits entities officially endorsed by the NYSSA.

The NYSSA Web site will not link to for-profit organizations (except as noted below with respect to Annual Meeting exhibitors*), nor will it link to personal or professional Web sites of NYSSA members. By establishing a Web link with any external organization, it should not be implied that such linkage constitutes endorsement or support by NYSSA of any such entity.


*Exception for Annual Meeting Exhibitors

The exception to the above policy will be a special linking area for those approved companies exhibiting at the current year's NYSSA/PGA Annual Meeting. Exhibiting companies will be eligible to have a link from the PGA Technical Exhibitors section to their company Web site for an additional fee. That link will be established for a specific period of time associated with the NYSSA/PGA Annual Meeting.

C. Linking to NYSSA Web Site

The dynamics of the Internet allow for infinite links from one Web site to another without a site host being aware of the link from another site. Therefore, NYSSA cannot be responsible for content on any Web site connected via hyperlink to the NYSSA Web site. Upon request, however, NYSSA will investigate links to its Web site and attempt to determine if these are inappropriate or contrary to NYSSA's stated purpose and mission. In such a case, NYSSA will attempt to have the link removed.

D. Indemnity

NYSSA is not responsible for a loss of link service and may discontinue a site link at any time.
