| The NYSSA MEDIA AWARDS were presented by Constance H. Hill, M.D., Chair of the Public Education and Information Committee at the House of Delegates meeting on December 11, 1999. The recipient of the Broadcast award was Adrienne Paxton, Producer, Good Day New York, WNYW TV, Fox Channel 5, for her interview segments with Dr. Joel Kreitzer of Mount Sinai on various aspects of chronic pain and Dr. Michel Dubois of NYU Hospital on managing chronic pain. The Print Award went to Randy Kennedy of the New York Times for “Medical School in Six Days: Mount Sinai Mini-Courses Try to Demystify What Doctors Do.” |
