Best Scientific Exhibit was awarded to Jan-Paul Mulier, Ph.D., pictured, second from left, of the AZ St-Jan-AV Brugge, Belgium for his exhibit titled “Improved Ventilator Safety Valve”. Presenting the award are, left to right, PGA Scientific Exhibits Committee members Drs. Levine, Vitkun (Chair) and Katari.

Best Instructional Exhibit went to Chad Epps, M.D., second from right, of The Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York City for “The Airway is Secured, Now What? Strategies for Using the Anesthesia Ventilator”. Also present for the award were, left to right, Co-Exhibitors Drs. Kim, Osborn, R. Freese, Vitkun, Levine and Katari (back row).

A Special Award was presented by Dr. Vitkun, left, to Primary Exhibitor Paul E. Bigeleisen, M.D. of the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Rochester, New York, for “A Micro-Doppler Catheter for Detection and Aspiration of Venous Emboli During Sitting Craniotomy”.
